Red Winds AB and UltraGreen have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize their collaboration and strengthen future cooperation in resilient energy systems, sustainable food production, and technologies for extreme environments.
The collaboration brings together complementary expertise in renewable energy, nutritional biotechnology, and resource-efficient technologies. Together, both organizations will explore joint research and innovation activities, technology development, and future funding opportunities that contribute to resilient infrastructure on Earth and future human exploration beyond our planet.
UltraGreen is a Peruvian Deep Tech and FoodTech company developing innovative solutions in microalgae biotechnology, sustainable food production, and intelligent cultivation systems for diverse environments, including remote and high-altitude regions. Its founder and CEO, Guido Gerónimo Maldonado, has been recognized by FAO Peru for his contributions to innovation, sustainability, and the development of solutions that strengthen food production and food security.
The collaboration between Red Winds and UltraGreen originated through NASA’s Mars-to-Table Challenge, where both organizations identified opportunities to combine expertise in energy systems, food production, and environmental resilience.
Red Winds looks forward to continuing this collaboration and developing integrated solutions that strengthen resilience in resource-constrained environments, both on Earth and in future space missions.
